10.48am Here comes the final update: match abandoned. They had to stage three matches at the same ground today itself, and no surprises that this one is washed out keeping in mind so much rain, and the matches to follow.

10.35am The rain has got heavier still, as the outfield is pattered with rain. I'm afraid we could be in for some bad news pretty soon.

10.17am And... covers are back. It has suddenly got darker too, with some clouds back in position above the ground. However, it doesn't seem to be raining at the moment. But scratch that, here comes heavy rain. More rain, more covers and more wait.

10am There continues to be some wet patches on the field of play, with the super sopper in action. And as I speak, the only cover which was still loitering around is also being removed. The latest news that the toss is at 10.30am, and first ball at 11am.

9.40am Live pictures show the umpires walking out and inspecting the outfield. Looking at the conditions, it seems the game should take place, even if it's delayed.

9.25am Although the main cover is off, the work around the pitch - and on the outfield - continues. And with that, we also continue - to wait.

9.04am I also bring good news: the covers are gradually being peeled off. The ground staff is being kept busy no doubt. Though it's a bit brighter now too, there are a few dark clouds hovering around as well.

8.56am So the news is that the toss has been officially delayed, as it was initially supposed to take place four minutes from now. Let us wait and watch - what else have we been doing across the US T10 and the CPL?
