Full commentary

Adelaide Strikers win by six wickets and that was a fantastic game of T20 cricket. Super pitch, terrific batting. Expertly-paced chase by the home side set up by the Short-Short opening stand. And what a way to finish it by Adam Hose, showing why Strikers signed him again. Thunder may come to regret that one. Matt Short is name Player of the Match for his captain's innings. "I was so nervous, thinking about a Super Over," he says. "Hosey battled beautifully. Awesome to get the win." The BBL needed a good game to kick it into life after a slow start, and it got one. Hopefully more to follow. I'm going to wrap things up there for tonight. Our coverage of the IPL auction continues here and South Africa are also taking on India which you find here. We'll be back tomorrow night for Perth Scorchers against Hobart Hurricanes but for now, from Gnasher, it's goodbye.

Zaman Khan to Hose, SIX runs

straight down the ground, and wins it with a six! Terrific strike, what an innings from Hose

19.3
2
Zaman Khan to Hose, 2 runs

great yorker, but outside leg stump, squeezed off the inside edge to deep square and they gamble on the second. Keeper doesn't take the throw. Maybe got a difficult bounce.

Zaman Khan to Hose, FOUR runs

oh, wow! It's a reverse scoop this time. Was wide outside off and he flicks it through short third

8 off 5

Zaman Khan to Weatherald, OUT

is he run out? A full delivery, gets an inside edge into the pads. It rolls up the pitch, Zaman hustles across from his follow through, collects, turns and hits direct and Weatherland hasn't even tried to ground his bat. That's an awful piece of cricket from the batter. And a dot ball

Heck of cameo from Hose so far

McAndrew to Hose, FOUR runs

nearly six! Down on the back knee this time and effectively sweeps over short fine leg. Does that decide it?

18.5

McAndrew to Hose, FOUR runs

scoops again! Fantastic batting. Keeps low in the stance, gets underneath as McAndrew went just back of a length

18.4
McAndrew to Hose, no run

full, just outside off, and a swing and a miss. He was on the first tee there. Another dot

David: "14 runs trumps 2 or even 3 wickets at this late stage!"

18.3
McAndrew to Hose, no run

short of a length at off stump, drags the pull to mid-on. Dot ball

4
McAndrew to Hose, FOUR runs

oh, brilliant! Back of a length, a slower ball, Hose spotted it early, got down into position and scooped it over short fine leg

Three boundaries and a wicket off that over. Strikers probably just take that

Zaman Khan to Hose, FOUR runs

gets this wrong! Serves it up wide outside off, short of a yorker, Hose connects cleanly with a drive over the off side

Well, well. What a finish this is. Adam Hose is known as a finisher...Zaman pulls out of his run up

W
Zaman Khan to Lynn, OUT

great yorker! He gets it spot on. At middle stump, Lynn plays over it. That really was a superb delivery.

what a stroke! That's not bad for your first ball. It's full outside off, he creams a powerful cover drive and finds the gap in the off-side ring

that's spot on, the yorker at middle, plays it out to mid-off

That's a huge moment. Strikers have held back the surge and now D'Arcy Short is gone

16.6
W
Sams to DJM Short, OUT

huge appeal and given lbw! Gets the yorker in again, and Short has called the review. Looks good unless he's hit it. Was pinpoint from Sams, Short trying to squeeze it away. Hits the back boot in front of middle and leg. No bat. He's gone. Three reds
